About

Dendrite fractals model crystal growth patterns seen in snowflakes, frost, and mineral formations. The word "dendrite" comes from Greek "dendron" meaning tree. Unlike binary trees, dendrites branch into multiple directions, creating symmetric crystal-like structures. The number of branches and their spread angle determine the crystal's symmetry.

The algorithm starts from the center and grows outward. At each node, a line is drawn in the current direction, then the specified number of child branches are spawned, evenly distributed across the spread angle centered on the forward direction. Each child branch is shorter than its parent, and the process repeats recursively until the target depth is reached.
